Plantations of Ireland

Pulled this off google and i can read the details. I'm also pretty sure that laois and offally were also planted. Curious to find out about the "Irish" planting of monaghan. Perhaps this was done by the descendants of the anglo-normans the so-called old english? Note also that the most protestant areas of Northern Ireland at the moment are the ones that were privately settled. The tea-party would like that.

Ulster catholic protestant demographics 2001 and 2006

Got this from wikipedia. Interesting to see the protestant enclaves within the republic. Will find out what these are. Only border ward with high percentage of protestants? Aughnacloy.

Northern Ireland catholic protestant make up by wards 2001

Got this from the cain website. Would love to see a similar map for 1922. You'd wonder why they didn't put fermanagh in the free state.

Belfast catholic protestant demographics 1991 - 2001

From 91 census. Source wesley Johnston website

From 2001 census. Source PULSE website

From 2001 census. Left diagram represents elderly people the right represents the youth. I don't know what ages were used to decided what constitutes young and old.  Source PULSE website.

Update: the above is from the cain website. Its shows the wards around belfast as well in 2001.  I'm told by locals that there is a "protestant flight" happening with protestants leaving belfast to go to the ring around it. Ive also heard this called the greening of belfast. The results of the last census should confirm this trend.
